more thoughts on the place

The stove is GAS!! I don't know whether to scream or laugh. Actually I prefer cooking with gas because the food tends to taste better. The house is very new so there shouldn't be any safety issues-I will talk to the landlord about it.

The livingroom is going to need some TLC. The 3 piece shelving unit will work there--and possibly the Futon if we don't use that in the music room or the guest room or whatever. But we don't have a cohesive set for the livingroom-I like eccletic --but with some sort of theme. I guess if the livingroom is going to have like concert posters and video games etc--having a futon with a cover and a couple of chairs that don't match wouldn't matter too much. I want to put some large plants in there. I don't think I want the TV facing the street where people can see it. The previous owners have the TV on the right hand wall as you enter--facing the livingroom-but not smack dab in the livingroom. Not sure. Anyway-it will work out.

My Room

I think I want to put my red table in the smaller room and the metal shelving unit (if we don't need it somewhere else). The metal shelving unit would have all my wrapping papers, collected loose papers(magazine cut outs/flyers/stuff) and drawing materials, bookmaking materials, jewellry making.

Maybe my computer could go in the alcove upstairs and both Matt and I could use it--and Matt's could go in the music room? And another one downstairs for the movies?

Microwave

the extra microwave could go in the alcove by the computer so we can make popcorn for movies in bed? i dunno. i really think we only need one. but we could have the extra one somewhere...a tea caddy by the dining room table would be nice.

i want to get a centre piece for the diningroom table--just a little something for the middle of the table-my candle holders/salt and pepper shakers and a vase.

2 Bathrooms, Wow...

master bathroom

use the white ceramic bath sets for his and hers sink since both matt and I already have white soap dishes and a cup for toothpaste and another for shaving stuff.
use the white cloth shower curtain...green towels will be nice-need more.

downtstairs washroom
use the stainless steel bathroom set for soap and cup.
maybe put up print from donna--the window shot of a store in chinatown-LA

3 Rooms

Wow. I found out today that the 3 bedroom place I was going to share with my boyfriend and our friend James-is now just for me and Matt.

The bottom two rooms--could double as our own private office/areas and a guest room. We could put a futon-or even my double bed in one of the rooms and a desk. Keep it simple. A shelf with books that I wouldn't want in the livingroom. School texts, stamp book, photo albums and all that. Matt could put his musical instruments in the other room--the bigger one maybe. A desk or table for model making and stuff could go in there. Could be really cool.

Or we could have one room for all officey stuff and the other a guest/music room.
