All Moved In!

Okay, so we are all moved in. The move was far less painful than I thought it was going to be. There was some stress over doing our move on two different days. :0]

We moved all of Matt's stuff over on Saturday. We ended up having to put it in the foyer AND on the porch. There was no way the organ was going to make it inside.

Saturday Done.

Sunday-we wake up at 5:30AM and start bringing boxes down to the street. I have a LOT of boxes; 95% of the move was boxes. It took 2 hours to get most of them down plus all of the shelves. We left the boxes of books and heavy dresser for the movers.

Monday, July 25

Things are Coming Together


After a bit of a scare with movers and move dates etc-etc-we got it all under control. thanks to Matt making all of the calls and stuff.

He also thought of the brilliant idea of making the music room into a rec room. This way we have a place to kick back and watch movies or play vidja games and stuff. The actual livingroom will be for reading or playing Scrabble and all that...Guests.

ok. now i am getting stressed

irk. there are too many things to think about...i need to make another list-it will be the same list i wrote out one month ago i am sure. and a few things will be done. but the rest will sit there like christmas bread that was over cooked and left out to dry and harden.

1. call telus and cancel services (sara)
2. call shaw and transfer services (matt)
2. call landlords find out about moving time
3. call movers to see if they can move us later or earlier or whenever makes sense
4. finsish packing
5. clean apartment (weekend of move: july 31)

More Stuff




Well, we got a really nice pine armoir (I have always wanted an armoir) and desk with shelf on top--these will look great. the desk will probably go in the den or the music room. and the armoir in the bathroom. we also got a rather large wardrobe thingy from IKEA--that has fabric covering it--it is see through-think we should get a thicker fabric that will hide the clothes and add some colour to the room.

so- we are moving. crazy.

Saturday, July 2

music room/art room -a different approach

i was thinking and well, Matt was wondering about the computer being in the guest room--good point. and i was wondering about the concert posters--and that pink wall. maybe he should have the smaller room for the computer and music stuff and the concert posters (framed). and i should use the guest room for the art room. i can put the art books there a table and the futon--should be fine. it is bigger-more room for making a mess and doing yoga. of course i will put a nice looking plastic sheet on the floor if i am doing messy stuff or use the garage even. and i can put framed stuff on the wall--the picture of the feet that my stepmom did and the steve keen paining or whoever he is --the la artist. blah. i am going back to bed now.
